I miss people! — FREE — Developer conference LONDON 19th Oct.
I have really missed seeing people, I miss the daily interactions, I miss the random conversations that I used to have, most of all I miss the tech conferences where I can talk to people and choose to go and listen to the speakers and topics that interest me. But, hopefully we are coming to a stage in the UK where we can look at getting some sort of normal back.
I miss the tech conferences

Main Agenda
Here’s the main agenda. We’ll kickoff with keynotes from Joanna Hodgson and Mark Little, two well known figures in the tech world talking about diversity and the movement of Java in the industry.
We’ll then break out into four tracks:
- Red Hat Engineers
- Languages and Frameworks
- Enterprise Developers
- *Ops
Red Hat Engineers
We have access to some amazing engineering talent here at Red Hat so, we thought we’d bring some of them to talk about what they’re working on and what they are passionate about. Kafka, Quarkus and deep dive JVM tweaking for Quarkus. These are really deep technical talks for those that love the nuts and bolts.
Languages and Frameworks
We break out into languages and frameworks to talk about Quarkus, reactive programming, Rust and Web Assembly and language security.
Enterprise Developers
A track of talks focusing on more enterprise topics, serverless Knative, EDA, serverless migration for front end web sites and testing with containers. There’ll be time for lots of discussion in this track to explore the topics in detail.
*Ops
Devops, Devsecops, gitops… We have some great topics from customers and engineers about their experiences around various devops topics.
As well as the breakout rooms we will have a coding challenge to win t-shirts and some awesome Red Hat Lego along with a developer workshop and a set of lightning talks followed by networking (beer & pizza)
This is a face to face event and not recorded or streamed, but if you can get to London it will be awesome!
